Marble Columns and Door Frames Sculptures
Marble columns and door frames sculptures are made one at a time, to the dimensions of the setting, from 0.7 to 7 metres. Each piece is carved by hand from single blocks selected for vein direction. We work with landscape architects, master planners and estate managers, and quote against drawings rather than a catalogue price. Browse the pieces below, or send a brief and a site plan.

About Marble Columns and Door Frames Sculptures
Marble suits columns and door frames work for practical reasons rather than aesthetic ones. Pieces here are carved by hand from single blocks selected for vein direction, which lets one design run anywhere between 0.7 and 7 metres without the proportions failing at either end of that range.
Scale is the first decision and it is usually made too late. A columns and door frames piece at 1.5 metres is an object people stand beside; at four metres it becomes the thing that orders the space around it. We ask for a site plan, a sight line and a viewing distance before quoting.
Finishes across this collection include honed, polished, brushed or given a deliberately aged surface. Marble softens gradually outdoors, and polished faces in continuous water contact etch, so anything running wet is honed. Sample panels are produced and signed off before the piece is finished, so nobody approves a colour from a screen.
Weight governs. A loading plan is issued with every order so the pad beneath the piece is designed. Lead time from approved drawings is typically 16 to 22 weeks ex works, and every order ships with a calculation pack, an anchoring drawing and a lifting plan. If nothing below suits, send a sketch and we will propose a maquette, a band and a programme — or look at our other architectural work.
