Bronze Eagle Sculptures

Bronze suits eagle work for practical reasons rather than aesthetic ones. Pieces here are modelled, moulded and sand cast in silicon bronze, which lets one design run anywhere between 0.6 and 6 metres without the proportions failing at either end of that range.

Scale is the first decision and it is usually made too late. A eagle piece at 1.5 metres is an object people stand beside; at four metres it becomes the thing that orders the space around it. We ask for a site plan, a sight line and a viewing distance before quoting.

Finishes across this collection include traditional brown, French green, black liver of sulphur and antique gold. A hot patina bonds into the metal rather than sitting on it, so colour deepens instead of wearing through. Sample panels are produced and signed off before the piece is finished, so nobody approves a colour from a screen.

Casting weight is carried on a designed stainless armature, and every support point is calculated before modelling starts. Lead time from approved drawings is typically 16 to 24 weeks ex works, and every order ships with a calculation pack, an anchoring drawing and a lifting plan.
